Who we are

Expert Health Agents operates a professional directory that helps clients find licensed healthcare agents and helps those agents publish a professional profile. We are not an insurance company, agency, or plan issuer, and we do not enroll anyone in coverage.

This statement explains what information we handle, why we handle it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the agent portal.

Information you give us

Most of the information we hold is information you choose to provide.

• Client inquiries: your name, email address, phone number, preferred contact time, and the message you send to an agent
• Reviews: your rating, written feedback, and the email address used to verify the review
• Agent accounts: your name, email address or phone number used to sign in, and the verification codes sent to you
• Agent profiles: photo, title, biography, services, specialties, licensed states, languages, credentials, partner organizations, video links, scheduling links, and public contact details
• Support and contact form messages you send to our team

Information collected automatically

When you use the site we collect limited technical information so pages load correctly and so we can detect abuse.

• Device, browser, and operating system information
• IP address and approximate region derived from it
• Pages viewed, searches run, filters applied, and profiles opened
• Essential cookies and local storage used to keep you signed in and to remember interface preferences

How we use information

We use information only for purposes a reasonable user would expect from a professional directory.

• Deliver your inquiry to the agent you selected and let that agent respond
• Show relevant agents based on your search terms, healthcare need, and location
• Create, verify, publish, and maintain agent profiles
• Authenticate sign-in, protect accounts, and prevent fraud, spam, and scraping
• Measure aggregate usage so we can improve search, navigation, and profile quality
• Send service messages such as verification codes, inquiry notifications, and important changes to this statement

Health information

We do not ask for medical records, diagnoses, or treatment history, and we ask that you do not include them in an inquiry or review. If you describe a health situation in a free-text message, that message is delivered to the agent you chose and stored with the inquiry so it can be referenced later.

Expert Health Agents is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA. Licensed agents you contact may have their own obligations for the information you share directly with them.

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers for cross-context behavioral advertising.

• With the agent you contact: your inquiry and the contact details you supplied
• With service providers who host our infrastructure, send transactional email, and keep the platform secure, under contracts limiting their use of the data
• When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, with notice before your information becomes subject to a different policy

What is public

Published agent profiles are intended to be public and are visible to anyone, including search engines. Reviews appear publicly with the rating and review text only; the reviewer's email address is stored privately, is never displayed, and is used solely to verify the review and prevent abuse.

Independent agents

Agents listed in the directory are independent professionals. Once your inquiry reaches an agent, that agent controls how they store and use it under their own privacy practices and applicable insurance regulations. Ask the agent directly about their practices before sharing sensitive details.

Data retention

We keep inquiries and reviews for as long as the associated profile is active, plus the period we need to resolve disputes and meet legal or recordkeeping obligations. Agent profile content remains until you unpublish or delete it. Technical logs are retained for a short period and then discarded or aggregated.

Security

Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in access-controlled systems with row-level security so that records are only readable by the account they belong to. Passwordless sign-in reduces the risk of credential reuse. No online service can promise perfect security, so please avoid sending sensitive documents through inquiry forms.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your information, and to object to certain processing. We honor these requests for all users regardless of location where practical.

• Access or export the information associated with your account or inquiries
• Correct inaccurate profile or contact details, directly in the agent portal or by contacting us
• Delete your account, profile, or a review you submitted
• Opt out of non-essential email at any time using the unsubscribe link
• Ask us not to share your information beyond what is needed to answer your inquiry

Children

The site is intended for adults making healthcare coverage decisions. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we delete it.

Changes to this statement

We may update this statement as the platform evolves. The date above always reflects the current version, and we will highlight material changes on the site before they take effect.
